What a Goregous day it is to fly into the Sunshine Coast where I'm greeted with sunshine, blue skies, coffee and the Giant Billboard Sign in the airport of the Australian Wearrable Art Festival!!! Yup, that's right... any orders placed in my online store won't be Handmade, Fulfilled and sent until after Augist the 17th as Ill be out of the studio for the Australian Wearrable Art Festival in the Gold Coast!
The homeschool workshop orders are still open for the 30th of July and are going ahead as planned for those homeschoolers who still want to participate.

Bet you can't wait to see how this epic chainmaille creation turns out!!!! Been working on my Wearable art creation for months now and its coming together bit by bit! The big reveal will be next month at the wearrable art festival in the Sunshine Coast with 3 days of runway performances that will blow your mind! This is just a teaser and if you think this stretch of chainmaille detail is amazing, wait till you see the rest!

My last selfies as a youngster! Oh, to be young again 🥰 36 & planning to make it a year of achievements, take these selfies for example, I facepainted these flowers on my face for a recent art show. Doing your own facepaint is much harder & time consuming than doing others. Still, the flowers came out cute!

Haven't posted a selfie in... probably simce last happy birthday lol, so hope I don't look like a stranger, but then, selfies always come out a little wierd, must be my short arm reach...

I made this! It took forever... and then I locked it in a box and forgot about it. But this year, I'm throwing myself into wearable art so it got to see the light!
Made from upcycled materials, re-purposed discarded corset parts, op shop shoes, a lot of primer, Glow pigment, oil paints and 3d printed roses from my own 3d rose sculpting attempt that turned out pretty cute! Its amazing what you can make from someone else's trash! It just takes time and puzzling all the parts together and handpainting the corset bust and roses !

So what do you think? Is it cuter in the daylight or prettier at night in the darkness?

Here I am, strutting my stuff! I stepped out of my comfort zone and modelled my peony dress at last months Pakenham Art show... it was fun, but I think I'm not destined to a career on the catwalk ☺️🥰 I was very nervous and self-conscious!
Still, it was an amazing experience and the first time I've ever worn this wearrable art dress since I made it and shoved it into a box in the studio. Sadly, the dress is much more beautiful with the lights off since all the hand painted details glow in the dark... I'll share a photo of it glowing soon, as well as my makeup with hand painted peony flowers on my cheeks!
Hope you live my slow fashion creation, with its recycled corset bones, refurbished fabric, handpainted bust, 3d printed roses and upcycled velvet and lace! It took a lot of time to create this, so It was wonderful to actually wear it among other amazing wearable art peices!

There's so much to every part of an art project that you dont see when you see the final product... so here's the literal inside of a butterfly 🦋 made from Canvas... there's wires, iron rings and magnets in every single butterfly... and there are a LOT of butterflies being made for the Australian Wearrable Art Festival next month!!! ✨️ I can't wait to share this project that I've spent hundreds and hundreds of hours on!

How can I possibly get any work done with this cuteness getting all needy on me! The longer my chainmaille gets, the more my cute ninja ginger is pawing at it. Totally distracted by the cuteness because what cat lover wouldn't be?! Plus, he's soooo warm, heavy (like a weighted blankie) and gives soft cuddles which are the absolute best... if only his cute kitty cat existence didn't promote such procrastination!

Chainmaille artists are insane and such total masochists! They must be, because I'm only a tenth if the way through my chainmaille making project on the easiest pattern type and omg my fingers are so bruised, all my nails are broken, my brain hurts from making sure each link is the right direction.

I have a Newfoundland respect for those who make chainmaille jewellery and shirts. It's a lot of time consuming and finger bruising work. Yes, I know you can use pliers, but that's fiddly and takes more time than nails breaking bruising and im running low on time. It only took 4 days to get the oloattern and rythm right... Still, doesn't this small section I've made look so shiny and pretty and chainmaille Trippy as only chainmaile links can be

Let me tell you, tangerines were just fruit... until watching @tangerine_scream_ who has made it so that I can never look at a tangerine the same way ever again. Their performance was beautiful, sexy, fun and soooo sexy cute that I was enchanted... and desperately craved some tangerines! You should totally check out their future performances or acts, because... seriously, adored every moment of the performance and the drawing.
The drawing: don't laugh, I'm pretty rusty, as I haven't been drawing much 😔 so, I needed waaayyyyy more time to sketch lol. The poses were 1, 2, 3, 5, 10 and 15 minutes... only enough for me to roughly map or play, but goodness did it feel nice to be life drawing again. Of course, I did waste a fair amount of time getting distracted by just staring into those mesmerising eyes of the gorgeous voluptuos tangerine. My sketches didn't even touch the beautiful rhinestones in that outfit.

This year's artworks are about just making things that make me happy or showcasing the creations that I loved making, but never really exhibited properly. This one was so much fun to make!
A mixed media piece with foam clay, canvas, paint, digital design, wood engravings and a flask lol, yup that's right, a flask. I thought it would be fun to make an artwork that wasn't so serious for once.

This artwork is actually magnetised in place, so the flower frame lid is magnetic and can be lifted off and the flask is magnetised to the artwork so it can be removed and used as a fully functioning flask!

It's currently exhibited and for sale at the Old Auction House Gallery in Kyneton along with my favourite gin and tonic recipe! Head down to check out the other artwork and feast your eyes on the winning artworks which are amazing!

Just a sneak peak at the Queerthentic show at the Old Auction House Kyneton. How great are these artworks and can you guess which is mine? 😅🥰

The day was a lot of fun and I really enjoyed seeing all the creative ways people expressed themselves. With nibbles, alcohol free drinks and live music performances, it was a great day to brave the cold and support local businesses.

The exhibition is still on until May 26th so head on down to @theoldauctionhouse to see these artworks and those on the walls not in the clip. (Yup, there's more art, with a ceramics area, more walls with photography, painting and mixed media artworks!!!) Here's a little recap of last weekends very fun and super awesome Gaytimes 2025 festival. I really enjoyed having my market stall at the festival so a huge thank you shoutout to @gaystuffmarket who organized the stalls and did a bang up job at making signs and decorations to us through the Narnia path! Also thanks to @gaytimesfestival for such an awesome event! It was so well planned that I even had enough time to enjoy the epic shows, fantastic outfits of the festival goers and all the cool festivities! Such a fantastic and fun event, I lived seeing everyone be their authentic unique selves and it was so lovely to get my pride on and Dec myself with all my pride accessories!
It was an awesome weekend thanks to everyone who stopped by and chatted at my stall or used my creation station!!! I was super impressed with everyone's custom crafting skills like the awesome green earrings custom painted to match her dress... doesn't she look gorgeous with her matching dress, Earrings and glitter makeup?!?
I actually forgot to take a selfie of myself during the event, so I added very bad, very tired, very dorky and lopsided got home safe selfie of me after 3 days of very little sleep in my no longer perfect makeup and very car crumpled outfit lol. 😅💖 just goes to show how much fun I had, too preoccupied with the awesome fun to play with my phone hehe.

But these cuties #Glow In The Dark, so they will make for some fun gaytimes #festival glow body art items at my stall! I wish the #glowinthedark paper glowed brighter than it does, but clear glow materials are always less #luminescent because theres no white to hold absorbed light. Still, it does glow! #Butterfly's rock hehe

Nooooooooooo Sadly Esoteric has been cancelled at the last minute!!! I was so excited to be invited to run 2 workshops this year, so I'm a little sad 😔 but who knows, fingers crossed I get to use all those templates next year when they're back up and running. I really feel for the organisers and artists who put so much time, effort and hard a work into the event only to have it cancelled at the last minute. My heart aches for all the magic and art that's not getting seen or experienced due to this as everything is getting packed up instead.
Let's all hope that after this devastating setback, eso can return next year as it really is a massive event that brings art, music, good vibes and money into the local community. I'm just so sad its cancelled ! 😭

Ever wonder how I made this award winning painting? I've had a lot of people ask how i made the 3D modelling on the canvas. The whole painting is made from Canvas, more canvas, wire, paint (Obviously lol) glue, sealants, more paint and FOAM CLAY! Thats right... the tree and 3D effects were made using the cosplay material Foam Clay that you can get @lumins_workshop . Its easy to use, super soft and LIGHT so it won't weigh your canvas down and it can be painted over with ease. You don't always have to use conventional art shop materials like paint thickener/clay/plaster to create 3d textures and sculpted details, experiment and try out new materials from out of the box sources like local hardware stores or cosplay stockists. Foam Clay is so nice to work with, you'll be shocked at what you can do with it, best thing is, I'd doesn't stick to your hands so my neurospicy self loves it! I really love this stuff, but it does make me want to cosplay when I use it, which is probably why I entered the wearable art comp in the first place! I just needed a reason to make a whole outfit that makes my inner geek totally spazz out in the best way possible! Can't wait to make my Wearable art entry, here's a hint, the outifit is inspured by the butterflies on this artwork... so you never know, I might even be whipping out some more foam clay for the details so that I can feel the cosplay gods inspiring me 😆🥰

This is the tiniest mini tealight lantern i make and yet, it casts such a big shadow with its tiny little flame 🥰 I spent all week photographing these cuties between neauseas breaks filled with ginger beer and good music lol, so I'm looking forward to uploading them to my website this coming week! ♡ one product at a time... lol

That's right folks, this year is jam packed with amazing fun!!! Esoteric workshop next month, honeschhol workshops that are taking off monthly, a shoewing workshop in march, getting my 340 products uploaded onto my website, market stalls, a pet expo, upcoming art shows and now this amazing opportunity!!! When am I going to have time to be neauseas when there's so much cool stuff to do!!! So it looks like I'll be at the Australian Wearable art Festival this year!!! Yaaaayyyyyyyyyyy... now I just need to find the time to get to work making my entry, and making decisions and soooo much more cool stuff! They wrote such a conplimentary and wonderful acceptance email that I need to try live up to these high expectations! I'm so pumped and also so apprehensive about bringing my concept to life... it's one thing to draw an amazing outfit, another thing entierely to make it come to life ... in the right size! Lol.

I will only share sneak peaks over the comming months, but its going to be really cool (or at least, it is in my head!) ... I hope to see you at the show in August, come and vote for me for peoples choice!!!

Such an awesome sold out workshop yesterday!!! You can tell it was productive because of all the paint on the tablecloths!!! We did kid's learning to prime cardboard canvases with an acrylic tint. I attached 3 of the little artist's hard work to this photo so you can see what we did. It was such a fun experience and it looked like everyone had a blast so I can't wait to do the next workshop.

Ps. How do you like my artist studio? I've done a lot of the diy work myself and painted the walls with 7 coats of white to make it gallery pristine. thanks so much for those who attend my workshops, because some of the money from your attendance goes towards art materials and additional diy on the space... if we have a year of successful workshops, you should see the addition of the missing flashing, a fence to separate the studio from the property, making it a kodsade fenced zone and even an outdoor patio seating zone for parents where they can watch the kids play basketball after painting, have coffee and chill in the shade while their kids art. That's the diy fund dreams haha. Thanks for helping me put money towards that!
