FAQ

  • Purchased something in Person, Can't find it Online?
Send me a photo or a detailed description of it and I'll handcraft you another as closely as possible. All my designs and creations are in my sketchbook, so I can almost always make to order another one. Why you can't find it online... I design, prototype and sometimes even invent or use materials in ways that they aren't often used, so there is a lot of trial and error that goes into a product. Often early versions or designs are found at my market stall or shop shelves, where one offs and early prototypes can be found. These don't make it onto my website, but they hold a special place in my heart as they the first of their kind and born of inspiration and creative impulse.
  • Packaging & the Environment
Whenever possible, I like to practice environmentally friendly packaging and products. It's the little things that add up to make the biggest difference, so I'm very conscious about re-using, recycling and making sure I do what I can when I can. In Person Purchases... All in person purchases and items are packaged in a cellophane plant based, fully compostable plastic slip upon purchase or re-purposed plastic that is recycled and re-used. For those who need a carry bag at events with their purchase, I offer re-purposed clean paper shopping bags from other shops I've purchased from, (mainly supermarkets). Giftbags are new though and I always choose ones that are nice, soft or cute enough that if you get one, you won't want to toss it. Postage and Packaging... Purchased items will be nicely and carefully wrapped in either plant based compostable cellophane and recycled responsibly sourced materials, however, packing around your purchase usually consists of recycled plastic and other recycled boxes and padding that has nothing to do with my branding, but is an eco friendly way to pad a package. Please recycle and dispose of the packing responsibly.
  • Shipping Costs
I truly wish I could offer free shipping always and anywhere, unfortunately I'm still a tiny business and shipping fees everywhere just can't all be covered. I hope this will change one day in the future as I grow. I do try to keep my shipping prices down though so shipping fees aren't too unreasonable. I charge a flat fee for shipping and don't add to the costs even when it costs more when I get to the post office. I also offer Free Shipping Australia Wide for orders over $100 Really despise paying for shipping? Sign up for a spoil yourself once a month subscription (Coming Soon Online). You get a monthly delivery of your chosen subscription without a shipping fee!
  • My product isn't identical to the photographed image, why?
There will almost always be slight differences between the product and the images online. This is due to numerous reasons. All handmade and handcrafted items have unique characteristics that adds to it's charm and beauty. Almost all the items I create are personally handmade and customized in my art studio in Regional Victoria Australia and most are made to order. I put a lot of love and care into every single thing I create, and I am very careful to maintain quality and high standards. Materials and the handcrafting process often have unique and beautiful qualities to them. Examples of this include natural woodgrains, leather grains, Metallic pigments, resin formations, acrylic layers, natural pressed flowers, hand painted brush strokes, hand cutting, hand edging, varnish brush strokes, paint patterns and pigment patterns. Different devices and screen settings can alter the hue or color tone of the images online in comparison to the product. You can be sure that only the highest quality inks, paints, pigments and colors have been used in every creation. I personally find the unique woodgrains, brushstrokes and handmade additions to every project charming, and I hope you do too.
  • Returns, Replacements, Wear, Tear & Replacements
I follow all Australian Consumer Laws and will offer a replacement or refund with any proof of purchase for damaged or faulty products, but reserve the right to refuse a change of mind (although if you have a good enough story, I'll probably cave ;) Why Things could go Wrong. 01. I design, prototype and sometimes even invent or use materials in ways that they aren't often used, so there is a lot of trial and error that goes into a product. I rigorously test all my creations, however as some are experimental, I would love to hear your feedback or be told of any issues you may have experienced so that I can improve upon my design. 02. I offer free repairs (whether you have your receipt or not) should something go wrong within reasonable circumstances (if you set fire to it because you were testing its durability, I can't offer a free repair or replacement, and I may cry a little). 03. Handcrafted can be and often is, quite delicate. Please follow the care instructions and even when the sealants make things more durable and flexible, still treat them gently to avoid accidental breaking, tearing or cracking.
