The Progress Pride Flag

Based on the Progress Pride Flag, which is modelled on the Philadelphia Pride Flag to be a more inclusive and symbolic flag. It now includes the trans flag stripes as well as the black and brown that represent marginalized people of colour. There’s also a dual meaning to the black stripe, which honors those lost to HIV/AIDS and acknowledges the struggles of those still living with HIV and changing the stigma surrounding it.

Note: There are many variations of the Pride Flag with it becoming more inclusive every variation, but this one is my personal favourite because it's one of the more inclusive flags where all the colours are represented! Yes, there is an even more recent flag that showcases the intersex circle as part of the flag, however I prefer this one because the intersex colours (purple and yellow) are still included in this flag's colour scheme without making the flag more complicated.

The Pride Fritillary Anklet

Designed to be a delicate but bold anklet is designed to wrap around your ankle in a delicate but intricate design.The anklet's beauty is complimented with the classic rolo chain that will hang delicately from your ankle, with the lobster clasp allowing the size to be adjusted for comfort. The design is not only beautiful, but its also made to be soft on your skin with a sueded fabric backing that re-enforces the canvases durability and also makes the inside super soft. The bolder chain on this will look fantastic with thongs or sandals for those hot summer nights out. This classic butterfly anklet is based on the original critically endangered Fritillary butterfly arranged in a symettrical circular array. This design is truer to the actual butterfly's wing markings as the canvas allows for the super thin delicate black markings to overlay the gorgeous pride flag colours blended into the wings. These CanvasArt Wings are Handmade with Love from Water Resistant Cotton Canvas, making them an awesome Eco-Friendly purchase. Each wing uses Archival Inks that are hand sealed and varnished with a 3 coat protection regime, which means that with proper care and storage, they can last as long as a 100year old artwork!

After the sealing process, I glue the canvas together with a sueded fabric that is then carefully hand cut into shape with scissors. The wings are then hand edged with a little paintbrush, heat sealed, varnish sealed the 2nd and 3rd time, the holes are hand tooled into the canvas and finally the metal hardware is added.

Due to this handmade process, each product is unique and may have some minor differences from the image above.

The Original Design of these comes with 18k gold plated brass chain and lobster clasps or a silver plated rolo chain and lobster clasp.

However I do offer the custom option of changing these over to either a 18k gold plated, silver plated or rainbow slider bracelet. Slider bracelets allow for those whose wrists or ankles swell easily, it also allows for more size flexibility for those with larger wrists or ankles.

I also offer the customization for those who need longer chain due to size worries or swelling issues. See the measurement sizes of the standard anklets and bracelets, if you have concerns, add it in the notes with your size measurements and I'll customize the chain.
These are designed to be durable, but as they are handmade, please treat them with love and care.

Clean them with water. For a deep clean, use warm soapy water and patt dry with a towel.

18k Gold plating should be kept clean of moisturizers, creams, chemicals and perfumes so use the enclosed cleaning cloth to keep it tarnish free.

If you bend or crease them, press them in your hands until they warm up! The multiple varnishes and sealants make them malleable when slightly warmed (do not iron or overheat)

Avoid scratching them agaisnt abrasive or sharp surfaces and store them away from sunlight. Store them next to one another, not ontop of eachother. See the Blog for more Details.
