The Progress Pride Flag

Based on the Progress Pride Flag, which is modelled on the Philadelphia Pride Flag to be a more inclusive and symbolic flag. It now includes the trans flag stripes as well as the black and brown that represent marginalized people of colour. There’s also a dual meaning to the black stripe, which honors those lost to HIV/AIDS and acknowledges the struggles of those still living with HIV and changing the stigma surrounding it.

Note: There are many variations of the Pride Flag with it becoming more inclusive every variation, but this one is my personal favourite because it's one of the more inclusive flags where all the colours are represented! Yes, there is an even more recent flag that showcases the intersex circle as part of the flag, however I prefer this one because the intersex colours (purple and yellow) are still included in this flag's colour scheme without making the flag more complicated.

The Pride Fritillary Bracelet.

Designed to be a delicate but classy bracelet is designed to wrap around your wrist in a delicate but intricate design. It's 18kt gold plated brass box chain slider fastenings make it easy to put on and take off, with the added bonus that the slider is gentle on swollen wrists. If you party too hard and your wrists get a little bloated from all that hydration, the sliders won't cut off your circulation and you won't need to fumble with any complicated clasps! These are designed from the butterfly wings of the critically endangered fritillary butterfly whose delicate black wing markings overlay the gorgeous pride flag colours blended into the wings. I hope these pretty bracelets, give you wings to fly your colours with PRIDE.

  • These CanvasArt Wings are Handmade with Love from Water Resistant Cotton Canvas, making them an awesome Eco-Friendly purchase. Each wing uses Archival Inks that are hand sealed and varnished with a 3 coat protection regime, which means that with proper care and storage, they can last as long as a 100year old artwork!

After the sealing process, I glue the canvas together with a sueded fabric that is then carefully hand cut into shape with scissors. The design is then hand edged with a little paintbrush, heat sealed, varnish sealed the 2nd and 3rd time, the holes are hand tooled into the canvas and finally the metal hardware is added.

Due to this handmade process, each product is unique and may have some minor differences from the image above.

Each butterfly canvas bracelet is 15cm (7cmx2 of slider chain)
